Peringathur Teacher training institute was established in 11th october 2004 with an aim of providing chances in the field of teacher education in the rural areas which are educationally much backward.The institute in run by Peringathur Daras Yetheemkhana Committee which is a charitable institution. In a total area of 3 acres owned by the committee 2111.30m2 are used to build the institution.Building work will complete on 5-7-2007.

  The institution is on its way of developement with the objective of producing ideal teachers with novel ideas to cope up with the need of the society. The institute is a co-education iinstitution and it is applied for minority status. It is a self financed institution.

  The institute is situated in thalassery taluk and in Thalassery block. Nearest railway stations are Thalassery and Mahe and nearest towns are Thalassery and Mahe.
  We conducts Elementary level courses.We conducts Trained Teacher Certificate course (TTC) which has a duration of 2 years.our institution is affiliated to NCTE
